JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of software engineers in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, has strong leadership skills, and is passionate about building scalable systems and nurturing talent.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers through hiring and professional development.

  • Drive the execution of engineering projects and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver features.

  • Foster an engineering culture that focuses on innovation, high performance, and continuous improvement.

  • Set clear goals and expectations, regularly measure team performance, and ensure accountability.

  • Participate in architectural and design discussions to guide technology choices and long-term vision.

  • Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, including coding standards, testing, and documentation.

  • Manage technical debt, prioritize backlogs, and allocate resources effectively.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the team and systems modern and competitive.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or management role.

  • Strong background in [insert tech stack – e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, AWS, Kubernetes, etc.].

  • Proven experience managing teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Experience with scalable system design, cloud technologies, and CI/CD
    processes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

  • Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with DevOps, security best practices, and performance optimization.

  • Prior experience building and maintaining distributed systems or SaaS platforms.

  • Technical certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, PMP, etc.).
